This race is a fund raiser for the Hawai'i Island Food Bank; proceeds from entry fees will be donated to the Food Bank. The long course race will be approximately 5 miles turning on the escort boat and the short course will be approximately 3 miles turning on a double-hull canoe. Depending on conditions, both long and short courses will be straight out to sea from Keauhou Bay. Race meeting is 9:00 am and start is at 9:30.
Register and payment online only, Registration closes November 17 at 9AM.
Canoes must have numbers on the both sides of the bow of your canoe. Paddlers without a number will be assigned one, which they can pick up at check-in.
Report in at the halau at Keauhou Canoe Club between 8:00 and 9:00 AM Saturday. No check-in will be allowed after 9:00 AM.
There wil be a pa'ina and meal after the race.
