Jackie Reyes Non-Relay

The Jackie Reyes Race was held on February 1st at Keauhou Bay.  Eighty Six boats competed on two courses and Jackie Reyes provided an awesome meal.

Huggo's Valentine's Relay

The Huggo's relay from Honokohau Harbor to the Kailua Pier and back was a sweetheart of a race with grinds fit for cupid.  Seventy seven boats competed.  Proceeds went to Big Island Junior Wa'a.

Uncle Louis Kelekoilo's Race

Keoua Canoe Club sponsored the Uncle Louise Kelekoilo race at Honokohau on February 22nd.  Ninety two boats competed on two courses.  Keoua provided an ono loa meal.  The ulu was a favorite.

Freddie Berenque Ohana Wa'a Race

Steve Berenque sponsored the Freddie Berenque Ohana Wa's Race on March 7th.  Sixty three boats raced from Kekaha Kai to Honokohau Harbor.  A pa'ina followed with music and food.

Kuuipo Race

Keauhou Canoe Club sponsored the Kuuipo Race on March 14th at Keauhou Bay.  Fifty six boats raced on two courses.  Keauhou provided a tasty meal.

East Hawaii Challenge

Aaron Makaimoku and friends sponsored the East Hawaii Challenge on August 22nd under challenging circumstances due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic.  Fifty two boats raced on one course.  No gathering was held after due to the virus restrictions.

Yamagata Challenge

Dave Yamagata's Championship Challenge was scheduled for September 5th in Kona but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic.

Beanie Memorial

The Beanie Memorial was run at Surf Park in Kawaihae on November 28th with beautiful weather and light breezes.  43 boats participated.  No gathering was held due to COVID but racers received t-shirts.

Abbott Galaher Seaman

The Abbott Galaher Seaman race was held at Keauhou Canoe Club on December 12th. 21 canoes raced in the short course and 36 canoes raced in the long course.  No gathering was held due to COVID but racers received masks.
